The Isle of Man has been placed tenth among UK islands in the 2026 Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards, Isle of Man Today has reported.
The rankings are based on more than 296,000 survey responses from readers across the UK, who rated their travel experiences and named the places they would most like to visit again.
The Isles of Scilly won the category. Shetland, the Isle of Wight, Orkney, the Hebrides, Jersey, the Isle of Skye, the Isle of Arran and Guernsey also finished ahead of the island.
Deborah Heather, chief executive of Visit Isle of Man, called the result “a tremendous achievement and one we’re incredibly proud of”. She acknowledged that the island is a self-governing Crown Dependency, but noted that the magazine decides how its categories are drawn up.
About two-thirds of the island’s visitors come from the UK, she said, which makes recognition from the magazine’s readers especially valuable.
According to Visit Isle of Man, the island received 352,301 visitors in 2025. Its visitor economy is worth £433.4 million a year, and visitor satisfaction was 99.2%.
The organisation said the result supports its aim of building a sustainable visitor economy that runs all year round.
