Where readers go

Aggregate activity helps us understand how the site is used, without cookies or persistent visitor identifiers.

Daily unique IPs: An estimate of network connections, not individual people. Shared Wi-Fi may group several people together; mobile networks, changing addresses and VPNs can split one person across counts.
No lifetime unique audience: IP estimates reset each day. We show the average daily count for longer periods, rather than claiming a deduplicated all-time audience. The average covers days with IP measurement available.
Entry visits: Page loads with no referring page or a referring page outside Manx Wire. These are arrival estimates, not linked browsing sessions; some reloads may count again. Entry totals and views per entry cover the entry-measurement period only.
Engaged time: Active time on visible pages, averaged per page view. Historical page-view and time totals remain included.
From collection day one: Older view and time totals are retained; IP measurement begins on its own recorded start date. Earlier traffic cannot be reconstructed. A dash means unavailable, never an assumed zero.
