How to play

Capture every opposing counter, or leave your opponent with no legal moves. On this board, Ivory moves first.

Move diagonally forward, one dark square at a time.
If a capture is available, you must take one. Jump over a neighbouring opponent into the empty square beyond.
Continue jumping with the same counter while another capture is available. When there is a choice, any capture sequence is allowed.
Reach the far edge to become a king. Crowning ends that turn. Kings move and capture one step or jump diagonally in either direction.

House draw rules: the same position three times, or 40 moves per side without a capture or a man advancing, ends the game automatically.

Made of the island

Ivory and Manx red meet on the same 64 squares. Earn your crown at the far side of the board.
