A 28-year-old Douglas man has been fined £500 after pleading guilty to criminal damage at his mother’s house in Laxey, Isle of Man Today reported.
He was also ordered to pay £125 towards the prosecution’s costs.
According to the report, magistrates were told he went to the property in Laxey on 8 September. He got into the house by breaking a window at the back, and a picture frame hanging inside was also damaged.
Earlier that day a court had granted him bail. One of the conditions was that he must not go to his mother’s address.
The man told the court he had not known about that condition. He said he had grown frustrated on finding the house locked, Isle of Man Today reported.
A Domestic Abuse Protection Order has also been issued. It runs for 12 months and bars him from any contact with his mother.
