A 46-year-old man from Douglas Head has admitted driving while disqualified after police stopped him as he drove a Mercedes Benz E350 off the ferry from Liverpool, Isle of Man Today reported.

He also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance. According to the report, officers spoke to him as he disembarked on 3 April, when he was subject to a three-year driving ban imposed in March 2025.

Isle of Man Today said he had already been given a year’s probation in August this year for driving on 21 May. That offence was regarded at the time as an isolated incident, but the court had not then been told of the earlier April offence, the outlet reported.

Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood adjourned sentencing until 3 November so that a probation report can be prepared. He remains on bail.
