Riders who want to represent the Isle of Man in cycling at the 2027 International Island Games can now put themselves forward, according to Manx Radio Sport.
The Games take place in the Faroe Islands from Saturday 3 July to Friday 9 July 2027, a little under a year away. Anyone who would like to be considered is asked to email [email protected].
At the last Games, held in Orkney in 2025, the island entered men’s teams for both road racing and mountain biking. Those riders came home with eight medals: two gold, three silver and three bronze, Manx Radio Sport reported.
At the 2023 Games in Guernsey, the island also sent a women’s team. The men’s and women’s squads won six medals between them: one gold, two silver and three bronze.
Manx Radio Sport said that tennis is so far the only Isle of Man team confirmed for the Faroe Islands Games. That squad was announced on Saturday 24 October.
