Dancers from the Manx Trinity Academy of Irish Dance won a string of British Open titles and podium places over the weekend at the WIDA British Opens 2026, according to Energy FM.
On the first day, Jenny Manson won the U8 Intermediate Premiership and Jasmine Fields finished first in the Primary Junior Treble Reels. Lily Manson came third in the Beginner Traditional Set.
In the team events, Emily Watson, Aurelie Stevenson and Martha Griffiths won the three-hand competition to become British Open champions. The academy’s pairs placed fifth, seventh and eighth in the two-hand event.
The second day brought individual titles. Emily took the U14 British Open championship, winning both championship rounds as well as the treble reel. Aurelie won the U18 British Open title.
Martha became U21 British Open champion. Like Emily, she won both championship rounds and the treble reel.
In the U8 championships, Lily was second overall and Jenny fourth. Clodagh Briercliffe placed fifth in the U15 championship and sixth in its treble reel.
Energy FM’s report opens by crediting the academy with three British Open Championship titles. The academy’s own statement, quoted at the end of that report, refers to five national titles.
The academy said it was proud of all the dancers who competed for it over the weekend, adding that a number of them recorded personal bests.
