FC Isle of Man will field senior players in their Macron Challenge Cup second-round tie with Maghull at The Bowl in Douglas on Saturday 24 October, after injuries hit the squad, manager Lee Dixon has said.
According to Manx Radio, Dixon had hoped to rotate the squad and give more of his young players a chance in the competition. He told the broadcaster he expects a tough challenge.
The Ravens go into the tie on the back of two successive defeats in the North West Counties Football League Premier Division.
Their opponents arrive in strong form. Maghull top the First Division North after 14 games with 34 points, and the Merseyside side reached this stage by beating AFC Knowsley in the first round. FC Isle of Man won their opening tie 6-0.
It will be the first meeting between the two clubs.
Manx Radio said the fixture had been brought forward because of an amber warning for wind from Storm Boelo. Kick-off is at 15:00, and the station will carry full live commentary on DAB and AM 1368.
