Three Isle of Man hockey teams will compete in the England Hockey Championships on Saturday 24 October. The men’s B team have a rare home fixture at the National Sports Centre in Douglas, according to Isle of Man Today.
The men’s B side, who played in the Tier Three Vase knockout competition last season, face Bowdon’s third team in this season’s Men’s Tier Three Vase. The match at the NSC starts at 12:00.
The island women’s B team travel to Lancashire to play Preston’s second team in the Women’s Tier Three Vase. That match starts at 14:30 at Preston Hockey Club.
In the Open Men’s Tier Two Trophy, the men’s A team play Sutton Coldfield at Wyndley Leisure Centre in the West Midlands, with a 16:00 start.
Because of the national fixtures, every local Premiership match this weekend has been called off, along with one game in Division One, Isle of Man Today reported.
Saturday’s fixtures:
- Men’s B v Bowdon 3rds, 12:00, NSC
- Women’s B v Preston 2nds, 14:30, Preston HC
- Men’s A v Sutton Coldfield, 16:00, Wyndley Leisure Centre
