Police have asked people going trick-or-treating this Hop-tu-Naa not to let the fun turn into trouble for others, 3FM reported on Thursday 29 October.
Officers said those taking part should show consideration for the people living around them, steer clear of behaviour that causes disruption and bear in mind residents who are not joining in.
According to the station, police are asking trick-or-treaters to:
leave out pranks;
knock only at houses where Hop-tu-Naa decorations are on display; and
not cause disturbances late in the evening.
Police said anyone who finds themselves on the receiving end of anti-social behaviour over Hop-tu-Naa should get in touch with officers directly.
The advice applies across the island.
