The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has opened a consultation on proposed increases to the fees charged to recognised auditors. The changes would take effect from 1 January 2027.
The Authority, the island’s financial services regulator, published the consultation paper on 19 October. It is asking for comments or representations on the proposals, with a closing date of 7 December 2026.
The move is part of a wider Crown Dependency exercise. The Authority said regulators in Jersey and Guernsey have launched comparable consultations on the fees recognised auditors pay there.
The Authority’s announcement did not give the size of the proposed increases. The detail is set out in the consultation document, which is available on the regulator’s website.
The paper has not been posted on the Isle of Man Government’s Engagement Hub, where many public consultations appear. The Authority said this was because the consultation is aimed at a specific group.
