Heron & Brearley’s time running the Manor in Willaston will come to an end after service on Saturday 24 October, Manx Radio has reported.

The broadcaster, which described the Douglas pub as popular, reported on Saturday 17 October that it would be shutting the following weekend. That leaves a week of trading before the last service under the company.

Manx Radio said no reason had been given for the closure. Its report did not say what will happen to the building once Heron & Brearley leaves, or whether another operator is lined up to take it on.

According to Manx Radio, H&B, as the company is often known, has thanked everyone who has supported the pub over the years.
