Fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK have been gathering at Mad Jack’s on Thursday nights to watch the latest episode together, followed by live performances from Manx drag artists, according to Isle of Man Today.
Entry is free. Doors open at 19:30 and the new episode is shown at 20:00, with local drag performer Fenella Beach hosting. During the screening she keeps up a running commentary, encourages the crowd to react and gets viewers to score the contestants’ looks.
A short break follows. Then, from about 21:30, Fenella takes to the stage alongside a guest performer. Nona Binary, Mathea, The Lady Isabella, Dahlia and Karmageddon have all appeared so far.
The nights started in September. Fenella told Isle of Man Today that the arrival of the show’s eighth UK series seemed the right moment to bring back the viewing parties she once held at Moonlight on the Prom, which stopped when that venue closed in 2023.
She called the series a “passion project” and said it mattered to her that it stays free and relaxed, so people can turn up without needing a ticket.
The run ends with a finale on 5 November, and more guest performers are still to be named. Fenella said the closing night would bring together a special line-up, and she suggested that anyone who can make only one more evening should choose that one.
