A UK charity that promotes veganism says its recent leaflet campaign on the island met with a “very positive” reaction from residents, according to Manx Radio.

Viva! posted flyers to 44,000 households across the island. The leaflets pointed people towards the charity’s recipe club.

Manx Radio reported on the campaign before the leaflets were delivered. It has since spoken to the charity about how the drop was received.

Craig Thorpe, a campaigner with Viva!, told the station that veganism can be “a contentious issue” for people.

Viva! is a UK-based charity that campaigns to promote veganism. The island leaflet drop directed households to its recipe club as a way of finding out more.
