The Isle of Man Home of Rest for Old Horses has paid tribute to Daffodil, a retired horse who has died at the age of 32.

The animal charity, on Richmond Hill, announced her death in a social media post on Tuesday 20 October, 3FM reported. The station described Daffodil as one of the home’s favourite residents.

According to the charity, she had spent more than a decade at the home, which provides a place of retirement for elderly horses.

In its tribute, the organisation called her “sweet-natured and gentle”. It said many visitors had found happiness in her company over the years.
