NC Oriental has opened a second shop, adding a store on Parliament Street in Ramsey to its existing premises in Douglas.
The Asian supermarket opened on Thursday 22 October, 3FM reported. Isle of Man Today had earlier reported that the new store would trade from Unit 5, 87 Parliament Street. The business’s original shop is on Prospect Terrace in Douglas.
Announcing the opening on social media, NC Oriental said customers had asked for a branch in Ramsey and its staff had put in a lot of effort to deliver one, according to Isle of Man Today. “We are truly grateful for your support!” it said.
Isle of Man Today reported that the shop’s range covers Asian and Filipino groceries, from fresh fruit and vegetables to store-cupboard goods.
NC Oriental has set out provisional opening hours for the Ramsey store and said they could change depending on how busy it is:
- Tuesday to Thursday: 10:00 to 18:00
- Friday and Saturday: 10:00 to 19:00
- Sunday and Monday: closed
The business said customers had already commented on the times and that it would alter them step by step in line with demand, Isle of Man Today reported.
