The Erin Arts Centre in Port Erin will show the 1973 film The Wicker Man this weekend to mark Hop-tu-Naa, Manx Radio has reported.

The folk-horror film carries a 15 certificate. According to Manx Radio, critics were divided when it first came out, but it has since come to be counted among the finest British films ever made.

The arts centre’s creative director, Pip Rolfe, discussed the screening in an interview with Manx Radio’s Howard Caine. The broadcaster said the venue had chosen the film to mark the Hallowe’en season.

Tickets can be booked through the Erin Arts Centre. Manx Radio did not publish a start time or ticket prices, so anyone planning to go should confirm the details with the venue.
