Passengers due to sail from Liverpool to Douglas later on Saturday 17 October have been told they may meet traffic hold-ups on their way to the ferry terminal.
The Steam Packet said roadworks on Great Howard Street in Liverpool could lead to queues close to the terminal, Manx Radio reported.
The ferry operator has asked travellers to give themselves more time than usual to get to the port.
The warning concerns road traffic in the city rather than the crossing itself. Manx Radio’s report gave no indication that the sailing’s timings had changed.
The report also did not say how long the roadworks are expected to last, how long any queues might be, or whether other sailings could be affected.
Passengers with questions about their crossing can contact the Steam Packet before setting off.
