Snaefell Mountain Railway services have been suspended for the rest of Wednesday 14 October because of strong winds, Isle of Man Railways has said.

The decision was taken as strong winds hit higher ground across the island, according to 3FM.

A yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping is in force until the early hours of Thursday, the station reported, with winds reaching up to gale force.

The suspension announced by Isle of Man Railways, as reported by 3FM, applies to the remainder of Wednesday. The report did not give any information about services on Thursday.
