Contractors will be working in two of the island’s plantations next week to repair damage left by a rally, the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA) has said.

According to 3FM, the work is scheduled as follows:

  • Arrasey Plantation: Monday 19 October
  • Conrhenny Plantation: Tuesday 20 October

The repairs are being carried out on behalf of the event’s organisers, the department said. 3FM’s report did not describe the damage or name the rally.

DEFA said some paths could be diverted or shut while the contractors are on site. The department has asked anyone visiting either plantation on those days to follow warning signs and take care around the work.

The report did not give timings for the work on either day. People planning walks or other visits to the two plantations early next week may wish to allow for possible changes to their usual routes.
