Treasury Minister Michael Crowe says the island’s need for additional support packages over the winter will be kept under review, according to Manx Radio.
Mr Crowe was responding to the UK Budget, announced on 28 October. Manx Radio reported that a VAT cut on electricity bills and fuel duty apply to the island automatically, but that many of the Budget’s other announcements do not.
He said his department would assess the position here, and that any changes would be based wholly on local circumstances, the station reported.
Mr Crowe also set out his priorities as Treasury Minister and reflected on his early weeks in the post during a live interview on Manx Radio Breakfast, which the broadcaster has published in full.
