Three Ballakermeen High School students are back on the island after two weeks at the United Space School in Houston, Texas, where they worked on plans for a crewed mission to Mars.
Isabelle Nazar, Holly McEvoy and Dante Kunstel made the trip to the United States as winners of this year’s River Advisers scholarships, Manx Radio reported.
According to the broadcaster, the students had help from NASA astronauts, scientists and engineers as they drew up their mission to the red planet during their fortnight in Texas.
River Advisers awards the scholarships in cooperation with the Department of Education, Sport and Culture, Manx Radio said.
