Estate agency Koops & Co has given almost £5,000 to local charities in its first year of trading through its Sell It Forward scheme, Isle of Man Today has reported.
The agency opened on 1 October 2025 and started the scheme at the same time. Under it, the firm passes on part of the proceeds from each completed property sale to a charity or community group nominated by the seller.
Isle Listen, Hospice Isle of Man, the MSPCA and Isle of Play are among the organisations to have received money over the past 12 months. Smaller groups including Ed’s Man Club, Greenhills Animal Sanctuary and Breatheasy Isle of Man have also benefited, according to the paper.
The scheme was created by the agency’s founders, David and Kat Cox-Cooper. David Cox-Cooper said they had wanted their business’s success “to mean something for the community around us”, adding that “our clients choose the causes that matter to them.”
Kat Cox-Cooper said there were “already further Sell It Forward donations due as current sales complete”.
