Paul Parker brings 90 new coastal works to the Manx Museum

Coastal Rhythms, made over the past year with Manx National Heritage, draws on the artist's 50 years of painting and walking the island's coastline.

Manx artist Paul Parker is to show 90 new works inspired by the island’s coastline in a solo exhibition at the Manx Museum later this month, Energy FM has reported.

Coastal Rhythms opens on 24 October and runs until 3 January 2027.

The collection was produced over the past year in partnership with Manx National Heritage, the body that runs the museum. According to Energy FM, the works take visitors on a circuit of the island, taking in familiar viewpoints alongside stretches of coast that are less often seen.

Mr Parker told the station that the exhibition marks a return to his artistic roots. He has spent 50 years combining painting with walking the island’s coastline, Energy FM reported.

Many of the works will be for sale, according to the station.

Coastal Rhythms is at the Manx Museum, Douglas, from 24 October 2026 to 3 January 2027.
