easyJet has announced a partnership with SpaceX’s Starlink satellite network to introduce onboard wi-fi, which could reach flights between the island and the UK, according to Energy FM.

The rollout across the airline’s Airbus A320 and A321 family aircraft is due to begin in the first half of 2027 and be completed by early 2028. It will be the first time easyJet has offered in-flight internet.

The airline flies from Ronaldsway to London Gatwick, Liverpool and Manchester, with seasonal services to Bristol. Energy FM reported that easyJet has also announced extra destinations for TT 2027.

The airline said passengers would be able to stream, browse, play online games and check flight status through its app and website. It has not said whether it will charge for the service. Energy FM noted that British Airways now offers free wi-fi on Starlink-equipped aircraft.

easyJet chief executive Kenton Jarvis said the move would mean “even greater choice and convenience” for customers.
