Ryan Cringle has won the 2026 ACU British S1 Championship, finishing two points clear of Alex Mullaney after the final round at Cadwell Park, Energy FM reported on 19 October.

The S1 class is the premier category of British supermoto racing. Cringle and Mullaney contested the title closely throughout the season, and a runner-up finish in the deciding round proved enough for the Douglas rider to take the championship.

The title rounds off a strong year for Cringle. According to Energy FM, he recently captained the Manx team to a dominant victory at the Celtic Match Races, the island’s first win in the event since 2010.

Cringle had initially chosen not to race on the roads in 2026. Instead he set up the LPA Racing team to support his brother, Jamie, Energy FM said.

Jamie Cringle crashed heavily in the second Monster Energy Supersport race at this year’s TT. The team then brought in Johnny Stewart as a guest rider for the Manx Grand Prix, and Stewart went on to win both the Supersport and Senior races.

Alongside his management role, Ryan Cringle kept up a busy racing schedule. As well as his British supermoto campaign, he rode in the Manx round of the British Enduro Championship and took part in a number of off-road events on the island, according to the station.

He also travelled to the Superbiker Mettet event, the finale of the Supermoto World Championship, where he finished inside the top 25 against some of the leading riders in the discipline, Energy FM reported.

Energy FM has published a link to the full championship results.
