A hair salon on Broadway in Douglas has put up a memorial to Smudge, a tortoiseshell cat who often called in, 3FM has reported.
Smudge, who was granted the Freedom of Douglas in 2024, died peacefully earlier this month, according to the station.
She was a familiar sight at B4 & After, where she would drop by to say hello to people or settle down for a nap.
The salon’s owners have now installed a tribute featuring a photograph of Smudge, 3FM said. Its message describes her as “loved beyond words” and says she “will be missed forever”.
