Daniel Davison, the MHK for Glenfaba and Peel, has said the government has enough money to improve the services it provides but is failing to direct it where it is needed, according to Manx Radio.

Mr Davison is a member of the House of Keys, the elected chamber of Tynwald. He told the broadcaster that public money was going to the wrong places and that adequate controls to prevent overspending were missing.

He said it was important that public services gave value for money.

Mr Davison wants more attention paid to mental health, respite and digital care in the west of the island, Manx Radio reported on 26 October.

Manx Radio’s report did not say which budgets or programmes he had in mind.

The broadcaster said it had approached the Isle of Man Government for comment.
