Tommy Corlett has joined SolutionsHub, a Douglas consultancy that advises iGaming and fintech businesses on licensing, compliance and operations, as head of regulatory assurance and remediation, Isle of Man Today reported.

Mr Corlett spent nine years at the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC), the island’s gambling regulator. He joined as a gaming inspector and in November 2023 became a senior inspector working on anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) inspections. In his most recent work he assessed how well island firms were complying with their AML/CFT duties.

At SolutionsHub he will advise two groups of clients: firms seeking to enter regulated markets, and online gambling operators handling their compliance obligations on a continuing basis.

SolutionsHub chief executive Lee Hills said Mr Corlett had spent nine years “looking at businesses from the regulator’s side of the table”. Mr Hills added that this gave him a clear understanding of what regulators expect from firms and how they check it.

Mr Corlett said he wanted to put his experience to use in a different way, helping businesses understand what regulators look for when they test something in practice. He said he had been drawn to the firm’s emphasis on evidence and on resolving problems properly.
