A total of 1,049 patients registered with Isle of Man GP practices have a recorded diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease, according to figures released by Manx Care.

The data, published following a freedom of information request, covers April 2025 to March 2026. It counts patients whose GP records carry one of several coded diagnoses under the inflammatory bowel disease heading, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, Energy FM reported.

Ramsey Group Practice recorded the most patients, with 220. The full breakdown by practice is:

  • Ramsey Group Practice: 220
  • Palatine GP Practice: 140
  • Peel Medical Centre: 137
  • Kensington Group Practice: 104
  • Southern Group Practice: 90

  • Laxey Village Surgery: 64
  • Snaefell Surgery: 63
  • Finch Hill Medical Practice: 60
