Police have asked motorists who were on Victoria Road in Douglas on Sunday evening to check their dashcams after a fire at an unoccupied building there.
Officers want to hear from anyone who was on the road between 18:00 and 22:30 on Sunday 11 October, particularly if they have video footage, according to 3FM and Manx Radio. 3FM reported that police said dashcam recordings may hold the key to finding out what caused the fire.
The blaze broke out shortly after 21:30 that night and prompted a large emergency services response, 3FM said. Manx Radio described it as a significant fire that had to be put out by the emergency services.
Manx Radio also reported that the building has been deemed structurally unsafe and that police are urging people to stay away from it.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212, or to get in touch with Crimestoppers.
