A Douglas man has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct on licensed premises, possession of cocaine and two counts of resisting arrest following an incident at the Outback in the town, Isle of Man Today has reported.
James Scott Pringle, 28, had been told to leave the venue by staff on 12 July, according to the report. He swore at them and a struggle followed, in the course of which a doorman was left with a split lip, the outlet said.
A charge of common assault was dropped by the prosecution.
Police were called, and Pringle resisted as two officers attempted to place him in a van, swearing and hurling insults at them, Isle of Man Today reported.
Officers later found 0.3 grams of cocaine in one of his socks after he had been taken to police headquarters.
His advocate, Victoria Watterson, requested a probation report ahead of sentencing. Pringle remains on bail on condition that he co-operates with the report’s preparation.
