Steam Packet cancels Manannan's Douglas–Larne return sailings

The company's sailing status page lists both legs of the fast craft's Larne round trip as cancelled but gives no reason.

Two Steam Packet sailings between Douglas and Larne have been cancelled, according to the company’s sailing status page, which listed the changes shortly after midnight on Thursday 15 October.

Both affected sailings were due to be operated by Manannan, the company’s fast craft. Times are island time:

  • 06:45 Douglas to Larne: cancelled
  • 10:45 Larne to Douglas: cancelled

The Steam Packet did not give a reason for either cancellation on its status page. No other sailings were listed as delayed, amended or under review when the update was published.

The status page also carries a separate notice headed “Manxman Dry dock Extension update”. It is flagged as important information for passengers, but no further detail appears on the page itself.

Passengers booked on either Larne sailing should contact the Steam Packet directly to check their options and the latest position before travelling. Anyone travelling in the coming days should also check the company’s sailing status page for any further changes.
