Blackberry Lane in Onchan closed to traffic on Monday 12 October for three weeks while Isle of Man Energy replaces a gas main beneath the road, 3FM has reported.

The closure covers the stretch between Governors Road and Summer Hill, according to the station, which described the lane as a busy road.

3FM said the road shut early on Monday and is due to reopen by 18:00 on Monday 2 November.

The station’s report did not give details of a diversion route. Drivers who normally use the lane will need to find another way through Onchan until the work is finished.
