Visitors to Archallagan Plantation are being asked to take care while a road through the woodland is upgraded over the coming weeks, 3FM has reported.

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA) will begin the work on Monday 26 October, according to the station, and it will last for up to four weeks.

Heavy machinery and delivery lorries will be in use in the plantation while the upgrade is carried out, 3FM said.

People using the plantation have been warned to keep away from the areas where work is taking place.

3FM did not say which stretch of road is being upgraded, or whether any paths or routes through the plantation will be closed while the work goes on.
