Douglas Council has 40 dilapidated buildings on its list of run-down properties in the capital, 3FM has reported.

The council’s environmental services committee considered a report on run-down buildings at its last meeting, according to the station.

Councillors were told that three properties had been put on the list. Five had come off it after work was done on them, leaving 40 still listed.

3FM, which described the list as a blacklist, did not name the buildings or say where in the town they are. Its report also did not set out what work had been carried out on those removed, or what steps the council might take over the ones that remain.

The full council is due to meet from 14:30 on Wednesday 14 October, the station said.
