Keystone Law Isle of Man marks ten years since Douglas launch

The firm, which says no other law practice has entered the Manx market in the past decade, now has 11 senior lawyers after hiring an advocate from Appleby.

Keystone Law Isle of Man is celebrating ten years on the island, having set up in Douglas in 2016, Energy FM reported.

According to the firm, it now employs 11 senior lawyers. The latest to join is consultant advocate Katherine Garrood, previously of Appleby.

Keystone says no other law firm has set up on the island in the past ten years. It advises on dispute resolution, corporate, real estate, commercial, banking, employment, pensions, trusts and gaming matters.

The firm appears in the legal directories The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners. Keystone said the Legal 500 UK 2027, published recently, ranked it in six areas of law and recognised it as a top-tier firm. The directory described its service as “intelligent, practical, and highly effective”.

Managing director Geoff Kermeen said that listening to clients’ needs had led the firm to widen its services in key areas since it opened.

He said he was “delighted that we are celebrating ten years in business” and that he hoped to keep expanding the team.
